From the pastor
Another Summer has passed!

Dear Church Family,

As we complete the month of August and anticipate the Fall we have much for which to give thanks. Our physical facilities have had MAJOR improvements with the completion of the exterior. THANK YOU to the MANY who gave sacrificially to help this become a reality. (Pictures will be up on web site soon!)

We also give thanks for the healthy birth of our associate pastor, Neyda Albarran and her husband Ivan's son Ian. Ian made his entrance into the world July 28th. Pastor Neyda is currently on maternity leave. We look forward to her return to serve around October 1st.

In August we said "Good bye" to Kelsey Haney, our former children's ministry coordinator as she left for studies at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. But we joyfully welcomed our new children's ministry coordinator, Mrs. Michelle Doble de Suarez. The Lord continues to faithfully provide ministry leadership!

We have also faced some challenging times. In the area of finances, it has been a VERY "challenging" time. We are literally "living by faith", week-to-week right now. I encourage you to be faithful in your stewardship of what the Lord has entrusted to you.

We've adventured into a revised Sunday morning worship schedule. The 1st English service now begins at 8:30 am and is a "traditional worship" format. The Spanish service has relocated to Frederickson Hall and begins at 10:00 am. (We are facing some logistic challenges with this relocation. Please ask the Lord to give us wisdom to know how to best handle them). The 2nd English service continues to begin at 11:30 am and is a 'contemporary worship" format. After being in both English services last Sunday, it is amazing to me how diverse, yet united our church family is!

This Sunday we will give out the new Our Daily Bread daily devotionals. What a wonderful blessing this little devotional booklet is. Be sure to pick one up. You can also get to the web site of Our Daily Bread by the link from our home page.

I look forward to seeing you in worship this Sunday. It is going to be a "grace-filled" day. We'll be partaking of congregational Holy Communion together at the conclusion of each of the English services. Come expecting!!!!

As always, "THANK YOU' for allowing Kim and I to serve as your pastor. You are loved!

Pastor
